Chant at Portsmouth University

There will be a short presentation on Gregorian Chant at Portsmouth University on Tuesday 25 October at 1830. The programme will include a practical demonstration of chant divided into 2 parts: the first part will be a talk and demonstration of a small sample of different types of chant. The second part will be Vespers from the Little Office of Our Lady (20-25 minutes). All are welcome to attend. FREE admission. The venue is Portland Building, Portland Street, Portsmouth PO1 3AH. This is what happens at sacred music events around the world: the social and intellectual are critically important elements.
