In Church work there is such a need to practice good stewardship, particularly regarding the use of time. Two solutions immediately spring to mind that will give parishes a very high rate of return for a very small ministerial investment.
1. If your schola is just about ready to learn a real Gregorian proper, there is no better place to start than Gaudeamus, the introit for All Saints, the upcoming Holy Day of Obligation, and for quite a number of other feast days as well.
2. Begin a children’s choir. Take an hour out of your week and sing some liturgical music with kids. They learn fast, grow up fast, and before you know it, they have become leaders in their own right.
